Memories to star at charity dinner

The Memories book is to make a gala appearance at a swanky charity dinner to be held tomorrow night at Cheltenham Racecourse. The Professional Services Dinner will be hosting 250 diners, mainly from legal, banking and accountancy firms. It is being held to raise money for Maggie’s Centres, the same charity we’ve been supporting with the Memories Book Project.

The aim is to raise £7000 for the Maggie’s Centre in Cheltenham, which helps cancer patients and their families in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire. TV sports presenter Jill Douglas will be interviewing Joanna Jones of Room 58 and Debra Drew of Fabric Architecture. They are both business people who have suffered from cancer but have managed to maintain their companies despite the treatments, stress and pressure of having the disease.

Five copies of Memories are being raffled alongside other prizes for tickets sold at between £5 and £20. There will also be stand-up bidding on a further 20 copies of the book at £50. It goes without saying but the book is an excellent piece for the coffee table in the reception area of any business. There will also be a business card draw for another copy of Memories.

As a creative project, we are proud to contribute books to this event and take our hats off to Carol Freeman who has organised the event, and to Big On Results for facilitating our participation.
